Sometimes we say we want something but we aren't actually willing enough to put ourselves in the discomfort required for growth. It's good to pause and take an honest and compassionate look about what we say we want vs. what we are actually willing to do to get there.

I will also tell you about how my dad quit after 40 years of a (2 pack a day) cigarette addiction and how he did it in a temporary way that will cause him a lot of unnecessary suffering.
