It's the first episode of the new Disney doc MPower, plus more Matt Singer and RIPD, on an all-new Superhero Show Show!
On an all-new, all-different episode of The Superhero Show Show, Cassie and the Boyz are taking a break from The Flash and watching the first episode of MPower, The Women of Black Panther! In the first of four hour long documentaries, The Women of Black Panther introduces audiences to the female characters of Wakanda, and the actresses that play them. The Taste Buds discuss the style of the show, the incredibleness of the actresses, and if any of it was necessary in the first place.
Before that, though, we have a punishment a'comin. Ryan has let down his fellow podcasters, and he must pay. His punishment, as selected by a jury of his peers, is to watch the notorious 2013 flop R.I.P.D.! Directed by professional dingleberry Robert Schwentke, this hardcore MIB rip-off gives us pre-Deadpool Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges as dead ghost cops who police other ghosts that are in our world. Make sense? COOL.
We'll also run through The Flash on the Pull List, and then Ryan completes his conversation with Matt Singer, where they dive into his two greatest passions: Gymkata and movie-influenced fast food menus!

THE ERA OF THE RED DEATH - As the Red Death wreaks havoc on Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) come up with a plan and turn to Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) for help. Barry is faced with what he thinks was his greatest mistake, and the Red Death's greatest success. Khione (Danielle Panabaker) wants to help Team Flash, but Barry can't risk losing her. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) gives Barry a very much needed pep talk. Rachel Talalay directed the episode with story by Jonathan Butler and teleplay by Dan Fisk (#905). Original airdate 3/8/2023.
