Welcome to our first special panel discussion episode of the unLTD Podcast.

We've gathered some of the great and good from across the Sheffield City Region to discuss the Road to Net zero.

Net zero offers a huge economic development opportunity for the UK and Yorkshire. It is estimated it could add more than £2bn a year to the energy economy and create more than 100,000 new green jobs. 

In our roundtable, chaired by host James Marriott, we hear how the North is primed to lead on a green industrial revolution to achieve the UK’s 2050 emissions target.

The panel cover a wide range of questions and issues including:

• How are leading organisations developing their capabilities in terms of people and technologies - and are they taking a people-first approach or a tech-first one?
• What do businesses need to learn to take advantage of opportunities in this space, from securing grants and rebates to developing and reskilling staff to manage the challenges they will face?
• We ask if the government needs to play a much greater role in providing more clarity on where investment needs to be prioritised.
• What new technologies offer the most hope?
• What accelerators and incentives are there to help low carbon and energy efficient projects become a reality where they may otherwise not?
