Making the transition from fan to guest, he joins us to talk about the Bible, the role it’s played in his life, and his spirituality. Growing up, the church tells us what God is or isn’t. The beauty of the Bible is in the opportunity to develop your own understanding of God, Jesus, and faith without being told what to think. He also talks about what it was like reimagining his relationship with scripture while also reshaping his relationship with gender and discovering whether or not he was allowed to be both gay and Christian. We have the choice to interpret the Bible and it’s a much more freeing experience of faith.
