Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is Day 672 of our trek, and it is time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.
Today’s quote is from Ben Johnson who said, “Very few men are wise by their own counsel, or learned by their own teaching. For he that was only taught by himself had a fool for his master.”

No one is a self-made man or woman. Every person who has excelled and succeeded in their life has done so because they are teachable and are willing to have others come alongside them to be their mentor and guide. The wisest persons in the world are wise because they are also the most willing to learn. Those individuals who feel they cannot learn from others are most foolish because they are not only unwilling to learn, they do not realize that they actually need help from others. Allow others to mentor you, and then be willing to mentor others.
Proverbs 9:9 – Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more.
That’s a wrap for today’s Wisdom Unplugged. If you enjoy these quotes, I have created and published a searchable database of over 10,000 quotes that I have collected for many years.
