Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is Day 674 of our trek, and it is time for our Mindshift Monday series. Since Paula and I will be traveling for business the last half of August and I will need to record all these podcasts in advance, we will be substituting our regular podcast with short Wisdom Nugget episodes for three weeks. After that, we will return to our regular format.
This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.
Today’s quote is from Helen Schucman, and it is, “Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world. What you see reflects your thinking. Your thinking but reflects your choice of what you want to see.”

We all desire to change other people and through this, change the world. While we can impact those around us, change is always an inside job. Before going on a bold quest to change others or the world, first reflect on why you think they need to be changed. We must first seek to change our mindset and be in continual mindshift mode before we can ever hope to have a lasting positive impact on our world. It is possible once you have a proper mindshift that you will realize that your world does not require a change after all.
As Jesus taught us in Matthew 7:3-5, “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite!...
