Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week, wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is Day 702 of our trek, and it is time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.

Tempered Knowledge

It is great to have knowledge, vast amounts of knowledge. But knowledge in and of itself has minimal value unless it comes coupled with a good dose of judgment. Knowledge with good judgment is what we refer to as common sense. It is evident as we observe life that common sense is not all that common.  It is that valuable and rare trait in a person who is able to expound on truths and facts in such a way that they don’t come off as arrogant. It requires judgment to speak only when it adds value to a person or circumstance. As knowledge and judgment are coupled together in a person, that person gains wisdom, insight, and understanding.

Since all truth comes from God, common sense is also His gift to us if we learn and understand His precepts found in His Word.
