Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is Day 725 of our trek, and it is time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.
Today’s quote is from Keshavan Nair, and it is, “With courage, you will dare to take risks, have the strength to be compassionate, and the wisdom to be humble. Courage is the foundation of integrity.”
Courage is the very basis for a life well lived. Courage is the opposite of selfishness because you are willing to put what is right ahead of what you desire. Integrity is built on that foundation of courage because it provides you with the strength to always do what is right instead of what is convenient. Courage provides strength to love others, even if they are unlovable.
Courage provides the wisdom to be humble when you would be prone to swell up with pride. Courage allows you to risk the comfortable, for the uncomfortable. Courage requires faith that if we do what is right at all times that God will provide us with the strength needed when our strength begins to fail. As the Apostle Paul encouraged us in Corinthians 16:13-14, “Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love.”
