Thank you for joining us for our five days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is Day 925 of our trek, and it is time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged.
Thank you for joining me on this trek called life. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little bit of additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom for today. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.
Today’s quote is from Dr. David M. Burns, and it is, “Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life.”

Admit it, none of us will ever reach perfection. While you should strive to be the best you possibly can be based on your current knowledge, skills, and innate abilities, aim to be as successful as possible with the realization that you will never be perfect.
Allow for setbacks and failures along the way because they are sure to happen. Use those setbacks and failures to be a time for learning so that when you move forward again, you can reach new heights of success. Don’t ever allow setbacks to stop you.
Yes, you may have to take a different path the next time, but there is no turning back. With each day that passes, you will have gained new knowledge and experiences that will propel you forward as you begin again. Look forward to every opportunity with the realization that you are more knowledgeable and better prepared than at any point in the past. Each time you move forward is another opportunity to aim for success.
