Description

Remember, the actual ministry of Christ is to feed the hungry, cloth the needy and help the poor. Keep money in the proper place in our life, not our god. Agreement on all matters is not required. Our progress in the Kingdom of God is an individual journey. Listen to the Holy Spirit to hear the correction of your loving Heavenly Father. Consider the end of your life. Reject social power. Everybody is equally important to God. Ego is a problem.

Ch 52: Jesus Tells Peter To Get The Tax Money From The Mouth Of A Fish

Matthew 17:24-27

JESUS AND his disciples returned to Capernaum. The collectors of the temple tax asked Peter:

“Doth not your master pay taxes?”

            Peter replied:

            “Yes.”

When he came into the house, Jesus said to him:

“What thinketh thou, Simon? Of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute?

Of their own children, or of strangers?”

            Peter answered:

            “Of strangers.”

            Jesus then said:

“Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money. That take, and give unto them for me and thee.”

Matthew 18:1-35; Mark 9:33-50; Luke 9:46-50

Then he set a child in the midst of the disciples and, holding him in his arms, he said:

“Verily I say unto you, ‘Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.’ Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of Heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.”

 Tolerance Urged

John said to Jesus:

“Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us. And we forbade him, because he followeth not us.”

            Jesus replied:

“Forbid him not; for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part. For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong
