Description

Monserrat is an outdoor educator, community organizer, climber, poet and danzante. In 2016, she was a part of the national founding team of Brown Girls Climb, LLC, a women of color-led business focused on centering the leadership of women of color climbers in the outdoors. Monserrat is a sponsored athlete with Outdoor Research and was recently awarded the 2021 Emerging Leader Award by Outdoor Retailer. Monserrat’s work is focused on connecting to land, ancestry, and BIPOC stories of resilience in the outdoors and beyond.
