In this episode of Integrative Lyme Solutions, we interview Eliza, a former Lyme disease patient. Eliza shares her journey, which began in New Jersey where she experienced symptoms after being bitten by a tick. Despite being told Lyme disease didn't exist in North Carolina, she persisted in seeking help, being hospitalised several times. The disease had neurological effects, inducing memory loss, bodily tremors and fatigue. Eliza tried numerous treatments, including Western and herbal medications, with an approximate two and half years of antibiotic usage. She also found significant improvement from joining a church that utilized Ayahuasca, a spiritual and medicinal brew, in healing ceremonies. Eliza's story is a testament to persistence and seeking support in all forms during an arduous journey to recovery.
