What a phenomenal weekend! Royalty Room hit the road again for BET Award Weekend 2023! Of all the amazing events we were invited to this weekend, we had the absolute honor of hosting Celebrity Hair Stylist, Karl J's 1st Annual Beauty Brunch with an amazing guest host, Gleveen Octavia. Karl J (@karljhair) honored Kim Kimble (@kimblehaircare), Greg Gilmore (@greg_gilmore) and Kee Taylor (@sosheargenius) along with celebrity guests Ms. Lady London, Elizabeth Woods, Tori Brixx and more!
 
Kim Kimble is known as the “Queen of Hair” and has worked with some of the top people in the entertainment industry such a Rihanna, Zendaya, Beyonce and more. She has worked on TV and movie sets like Cinderella, The Jamie Foxx Show and Austin Powers and her hair empire consists of hair-care products, hair extensions, salons and even a TV show. 
 
Native to Cleveland, Ohio, Greg Gilmore started his career in the hair industry at the young age of 15. Studying and learning to cut hair in a few different countries, he has acquired 10 diplomas in advanced coloring and has worked with celebrities like Tiffany Haddish, Toni Braxton, Tami Roman, and has even graced the 2021 Met Gala and InStyle Awards with his art.
 
Ms. So Shear Genius (Kee) started in her mom and dad’s basement, but is now her own CEO, brand ambassador, salon owner and hairstylist. She has traveled coast to coast styling clients such as Angela Simmons and Erica Campbell. She also has a successful YouTube channel “Deeper Than Hair TV” with over 1.36 million subscribers. 
 
And last but not least, the 2023 BET Awards show itself went absolutely CRAAAZZZY and gave EVERYTHING it was supposed to give! Congratulations to all the nominees and winners and we already can’t wait for next year!
