In this episode we will explore the big question: Is "Trust in G-d" something Sinners can strive for, or does our Disobedience Blunt Our Bitachon Blessings entirely? Simply stated, can a less than perfect person still benefit from Trusting in Hashem?
To be sure, Rabbainu Bachaya will forcefully dismiss the notion that we can simply rely on G-d’s kindness while flagrantly disobeying His Holy Will and Instructions. Yet to be equally sure, Rabbainu Bachaya has, and will continue to emphasize that the benefits of Bitachon aren't unique to a tiny circle of saintly Tzadikim; perfectly righteous and fully deserving individuals.
The idea that brazenly ignoring Hashem instructions render one's Trust in Him less than effective isn't surprising. However, there certainly seems to more to the Blessings of Bitachon than a straightforward equation of punishment and Reward, and Divine Consequences.
The answers to this seeming conundrum are anything but predictable or pedestrian. Rather, what emerges is a remarkable insightful synthesis and synergy of Torah truths!
