Tom Logue - April 5th 2026
The resurrection of Jesus is not symbolic—it’s real, and it changes everything.
In this message from April 5, we walk through Luke 24 and encounter the risen Jesus—not as a metaphor or idea, but as a real, physical Savior who conquered death.
This sermon presses into a foundational truth of the Christian faith: the resurrection actually happened. Jesus was not a ghost, a vision, or a hallucination. He physically rose from the dead, stood among His disciples, showed them His wounds, and even ate with them to prove it. Real people truly encountered the resurrected Jesus.
But this message goes beyond evidence—it reveals the heart of Jesus.
We see that Jesus draws near to the discouraged and seeks out those who are slow to believe. He meets people in their confusion, their doubt, and their disappointment, and patiently reveals Himself to them. There is no one like Him.
The resurrection also helps us understand the necessity of the cross. Jesus’ suffering—physical, emotional, and spiritual—was not random. It was required for our salvation. Through His death and resurrection, He made a way for forgiveness and restored relationship with God.
And because of that, a message now goes out to the world: repentance for the forgiveness of sins in the name of Jesus. This message began in Jerusalem, but it was always meant for all people, everywhere.
This sermon invites each of us to respond personally. Have your eyes been opened to who Jesus really is? Have you encountered Him not just as an idea, but as the risen Lord?
Because when you truly see Him—His glory, His grace, His power—it changes everything.
