Proverbs 17:14

14 The beginning of strife (angry argument) is as when one letteth out water (like breaking a dam): therefore leave off contention (small arguments), before it be meddled with (gathereth volume).

Proverbs 17:17

17 A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Proverbs 17:22

22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.

Proverbs 15:13

13 A merry (joyful, glad) heart maketh a cheerful countenance (face): but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Proverbs 15:15-16

15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
