Description

Welcome to this week's episode of the Just Say Something podcast. In this
episode, Phillip Clark is joined by Kristen Seward, the Strengthening Families
Program Manager at Just Say Something. Kristen joined the organization in
2023 and has been instrumental in expanding the program to different areas.
She is passionate about helping families bond and grow together.

Phillip and Kristen discuss the Strengthening Families Program (SFP), its
benefits, and what families can expect when participating. SFP is a 14-week program that aims to improve family bonding and communication. It is available in both English and Spanish and is open to
families with children aged six to eleven. Kristen says, “It’s mainly just learning skills to better bond and grow as a family together.” The program provides childcare for younger children and activities for older children.

Phillip and Kristen also highlight the success stories and incentives associated with the program. Kristen tells Phillip, “Every week the families will get a gas card because we don’t want transportation to be a hindrance.” If you're interested in participating in SFP or learning more about it, visit the Just Say Something website https://www.justsaysomethingsc.org or contact them directly.
