Description

Allen Thomas notes that Christmas is particularly celebrated by generous giving, civility towards all, and the spirit of excitedness. He notes the importance of a virtuous citizenry and the necessity of every one of us to maintain the American ideal. Christmas is a time when that virtuosity is seen most. Thomas explains that we are in a time in our country’s climate that is politically fractious, and people are easily disenfranchised. Now is as good an opportunity as any to highlight several uplifting Christmas stories to remind us that we, as American citizens, embody what Christmas is truly about and that a virtuous nation could be the most important thing to give and receive this holiday season and most assuredly into the new year.
