With some reservation, we welcome the formidably perplexing: Matthew Hoffman; the popular Massachusetts politician on the cusp of clinching the Democratic nomination. His supporters are counted by the millions and together they comprise a coalition of men and women of all races, creeds, classes and orientations. To the world, they are a legion of the unprecedented. They are a force of confounding dedication, traveling any distance from every forgotten corner in a sea of cars, busses and planes on the promise of chancing a passing glimpse. The nation loved him, his enemies admired him and no one doubted he deserved to win. No one, except for perhaps, himself.
