彼得前書 1:3-12是一首頌讚詩, 救恩這個字出現三次, 1:5末世要顯現的救恩, 1:9靈魂的救恩, 1:10論到這救恩, 彼得稱頌神寶貴的救恩; 當我們面對苦難時, 我們要回想神所賜的救恩, 使我們心裡有能力去面對苦難; 使徒保羅也是這樣教導我們的, 林後 4:17我們這至暫至輕的苦楚, 要為我們成就極重無比永遠的榮耀。保羅稱世上的苦難是至暫至輕的, 將來要得的卻是極重無比永遠的榮耀, 這就是救恩的寶貴。彼得前書1:3-12告訴我們救恩有三方面的寶貴, 1.活潑的盼望 2.天上的基業 3.榮光的喜樂。
