• The University of Cincinnati has retracted a study on Pillution caused by Hydraulic Fracturing.
• The study that focuses on AIR POLLUTION was QUITELY retracted because of found ERRORS and INCORRECT CALCULATIONS
• The researchers ADMITTED that when these errors were corrected, the conclusions found in air concentrations were changed.
• They cited incorrect MATH and the improper use of SPREADSHEETS…. WTF?
• Not to mention the sample size of the study was way too small AND the assumption for their research model was TOTALLY IMPRACTICAL
• What's more interesting is that the University couldn't wait to publish this erroneous study yet…their study that they are conducting on Groundwater Contamination in Fracking…which showed NO contamination of water from the use of fracking…is being delayed…

West Texas Intermediate took a bit of a dip this week now sitting at $45.60 today…however,

Rig count up by 9 rigs this week.

• US rig count Increased to 9 this week to a total 440 rigs
• 1 year ago today 863 rigs were active
• Breakdown of the 440
  • 351 sought out OIL
  • 88 sought out Natural Gas
  • 1 was listed as misc.
• The permian basin (west texas) added 4 rigs for a total of 158 which is 81 less than the 239 at this time last year
• Texas was up 3, NM and ND up 2 and LA, OK, and WY each up 1
