Seeing Notre Dame burning saddened me greatly. I had been there in 2011 and explored many of the 'Easter Eggs' identified by P. D. Ouspensky in his book New Model of the Universe. I share the essay from Mr. O here and some of my experiences and reflections on what represents the complete and permanent loss of a different quality of knowledge that can never be replaced.
