Grateful to chat with Ian Forbes of Duncan BC. Ian is as unique a character in the fly fishing/ outdoors as you will find. A legend on BC waters and his writing has influenced many a rod. He actually shared the river with Roderick Haig Brown, wrote for BC Outdoors for many years and the Vancouver Province, his first article was published in 1958. Retired from the Ministry of Forests.
