rahlad! do you know that I have conquered this entire universe. Even Indra and all the gods are trembling in fear of me. Why is it that you do not fear me? How is it that I have conquered everything and everyone but I cannot kill you? With all my powers, I cannot even disturb you? Where do you get this power from? Hiranyakashipu also gave Prahlad a deadly poison. Prahlad offered it to Krishna and ate it. And by offering it to Krishna, Krishna took the poison. Prahlad, where do you get these powers from that you dare to challenge me? And Prahlad with great humility and conviction he replied, my dear father, I get my powers from the same place you get your powers. From the same place everyone gets their powers, from Krishna, the supreme personality of Godhead. He is the controller of everyone. He's the source of all knowledge, all intelligence, all strength. Hiranyakashipu, he said you talk about this Vishnu? You're always chanting this Vishnu? You're saying he's everywhere? Is he in this pillar? Prahad said My dear father, he is everywhere. He appeared just at the time of sunset between day and night. The Lord’s leela is very wonderful. Because when we were having the yagya, that fire is non different than Lord Narasimha Dev. And it was just not day and not night. When the fire became unmanifest like in a pillar and then the lord manifested himself right exactly at the time between day and night. He didn't go out, he just became unmanifest and then right at the appropriate time. it's very exciting. Lord’s leelas are very exciting. Hiranyakashipu saw this form, it was neither a man, nor a beast; he was half man and half lion; with the head of a lion and the body of a man, but the nails of the lion; and he began to roar. And the sound of his roar was so shrilling so deadening not only to the ears but to the mind and to the heart and it instilled unlimited fear in the hearts of all living beings.
