Kaliya was as envious, was as ferocious and was dangerous as any of the other. It is described that he had thousands of hoods and hundred and one prominent heads they were filled with poison and fire who was massive. He completely poisoned the whole lake of Vrindavan and he actually did more damage than the other asuras. Because the other asuras in Vrindavan Krsna kill them all but he never really harmed anyone of the Brajavasis. But Kaliya killed all the cows and cowherd boys. By drinking the poison of the waters, they all died. Krsna by His merciful glance had to bring them to life. Such a terrible terrible envious asura. But Krsna, He could easily killed him like others but He gave Kaliya special mercy. He danced upon His hoods and caused him so much pain and suffering again and again and again and again that ultimately Kaliya surrendered to Krsna and became His devotee.
