Sometimes neophyte devotees who have very little taste or realization of spiritual subject matters, when they hear a story, they want to always hear something new, ‘oh, he is speaking about Rishabhdeva today, but I already know that story, I have already heard it so many times.’ But actually, the test, that you understand it, is every time you hear it you have a greater increased desire to hear again and again and again. If you think you have heard it and you are not enthusiastic to hear it again, that means you have not understood a word of it practically. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in his partial plenary expansion of the shaktyavesh avatar of Veda Vyasa wrote the Srimad-Bhagavatam and throughout his life he was hearing Srimad-Bhagavatam and his taste and thirst, his desire to hear it again and again is ever increasing in the association of devotees.
