Now Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in his previous incarnation, He manifested the virat rupa, the universal form. He was Lord Narasimha Dev, Lord Varaha Dav. Is he afraid of some Brahmins? He went home and sat down, began to contemplate that “I descended into this world for the purpose of giving love of God, through the medicine of the holy name to all the people. But now, I see that the opposite is happening. If people blaspheming me, if people disrespect me, because I'm the Supreme Personality of Godhead, they're going to have to suffer terribly. Because of me? I must think of a way in which I can somehow or other, get the same envious, arrogant people to offer their obeisenses to me with respect. And when they do that, then by my grace, I will be able to give Bhakti and prema to them. In the society, everyone offers respectful obeisances to a sanyasi. Now, being a householder, they just think I'm one of them, I'm one of the people of Navadwip, I'm the son of Jagannath Mishra and Sachi, I'm the husband of Vishnu Priya. Some are thinking I am their nephew, some are thinking that I'm their friend, that I'm their fellow student, they're saying me in a very ordinary way. But if I take sannyas, if I give up everything for the sake of Krishna, then even those people will bow down to me. I will have a danda, I will have a begging bowl and I will go house to house to those who hate me, to those who are envious and those who blaspheming me and they will bow down and I will give them Krishna prema.” Chaitanya Mahaprabhu decided “I will become a sanyasi.”
