Description

Our goal is to make worship an integral part of our lives. Worship can be a struggle for some of us; not a problem for others. We shall become more of a worshiping body, worship with our heart, hands, knees, and feet. We attempt to dictate to God how we want to worship. All worship comes with a promise. Today's promise is rest, when God is in control. Psalms 95: "Oh come, Let us sing to the Lord" or for some of us make a joyful noise.

Four things to take from these verses:

1) A call to an ever deepening worship (vv. 1,2,6). Three different Hebrew words for "Come", a physical movement: 1- a Command, 2 - Meeting some one, 3 - Entering into a covenant. These three words are presented in Psalms 95 as a progression of movement. He is calling us to do more.

2) The God who is worthy: (vv.3-5) There is no God higher; he is the King.

3) Be Mindful of Your Heart (vv.7-10) As you are grow in worship watch out for your heart, it may not be right. This is for "Today when you hear His voice". He want's us to check our hearts as of "Do not harden your heart as at Massa and Maribah"; there was not enough water to support the Israelis they crossed the desert to the promise land. They did not believe they could make that journey so they doubted that God cared for them. They doubted that God could provide; They lived in fear of their circumstances. They were making their own plans for their future. Checking your heart with regard to worship is based on the totality of your lives. If we are living in the flesh, then we are missing in our worship. But He will provide for you. Perfect love cast out fear, and nothing can separate us from God's perfect love. He has directed my path.

4) The Promise of Rest (vv. 7,11) Grow in your relationship with God. He knows a whole lot more than you do. When we live that way, God will bring the rest. Today, if you hear His voice then come and worship God.
