Description

Hope: The Consolation of Israel; "... for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel". Luke 2:30-32 Simian blessed Mary & Joseph when they had taking Jesus to the temple. Offerings were made to the temple with an offering to be dedicated. Dedicating a Levite meant leaving the Child at the temple, subject to a redemption fee.

Pray about how Verse 25 impacts you: Waiting for the consolation of Israel. (Consolation was another word for the Messiah): Isaiah 12:1 Grace to the undeserving; Isaiah 40:1-2 Forgiveness for the sinner; Jeremiah 16:17 Compassion to the grieving; Ezekiel 16:53-54; Restores fortunes; Zechariah 10:2 Hope for the future; 1 Corinthians 14:3 Building up of the Saints.

Isiah 12:1 Grace to the undeserving, means that forgiveness is here. Does anyone need Jesus? He is here. I want to see Jesus. Consolation is used by John to mean Holy Spirit. "I will be giving you another comforter."
