Finding God's Will For Your Life "Without counsel plans fail; but with many counselors they succeed" Prov. 19:20. God's gift that often remains un-opened. Going home and praying about it is an unbiblical way of living.

Decisions are a community thing:
1) The community judges a prophetic word (1Cor. 14:29). Let two or three profits speak, and let the body judge. Otherwise it is like a resounding gong.
2) The community decides guilt or innocence (Duet: 19:15; Matt. 18:15-16). Only on the testimony of two or three witnesses may an charge be established. My singular opinion doesn't matter.
3) The community sends (Acts 13:2-3). They didn't ask way Paul and Barnabus what they thought.
4) The Wise and the Fool (Prov. 11:14; 12:15; 13:10; 28:26). The fuel makes their own decisions; the wise seeks counsel.

Advice versus Counsel: Difference lies with whom is asking, If the decision rests with me, that is advice; If the decision rests with the people I'm asking, that is counsel. For he who walks in wisdom, things end well. Trust that He will bring people into your life to provide great wisdom; diametrically apposed from what we are taught.
