Continuation of Faith Path: When we were young, we had no idea how to lead our children into Godly lives. We are the light of the world, for all of the people to see. Several scriptures instruct us to spread the word everywhere. Most of these scriptures do not relate to our immediate family, but it is implied that they that need to be covered as well. Sermon is about Evangelizing our families, or It's all relative.
Acts 16:22 Paul and Silas were beaten, but praised God, Paul and silos did not escape after the earthquake. The jailer was converted that night, along with his household.
1) The jailer represented the greatest power on earth, Rome. We ourselves align ourselves with the greatest powers. Secularism,
Idle worship, rebellion, atheism, anything but worship the one true God.
2) Paul and Silas were praying and praising God without bitterness or anger; God was there and brought His power to the scene. Through this \the jailer discovered a greater power than Rome.
3) The jailer had a life changing event, "De custodia orum", translated: "The jailer is dead if the prisoners escape". The context of care. When someone sees something that directly impacts an extreme personal need and steps in to be a minister for God.
4) They spoke the word of the Lord to the Jailer and his family and God did all the work. The entire household was saved that day. When the portal opens, we need to be ready to step in and be obedient to God's will.
