Remember when you found out about Santa Claus? That discovery may have rocked your world. Christmas as a child is self centered. We start out expecting gifts from Santa, then at some point transition to looking for what the Lord has for us. Christmas gets busy to the point we forget what Christmas is about. Do we stop to appreciate the meaning of the story of Christmas? Do we consider the reason for the season, or what God is trying to tell us in the Christmas story?

John 1:1-5,9 The Word is God, what was the condition of the world in the beginning before the light? The world is dark before they receive Jesus. John 3:16-17; God gave His son so that the world might be saved. Most important to Him is to love us in a tangible practical expression. John 1:14; Jesus's responded was to come down to be with us when things get dark.

The Holy Spirit's response, Matt 1:18-20: If we don't believe that God has come for us, then we are that person He is looking for. Jesus's mission is to came, seek and save the lost. Matt 1:21 He will save His people from their sins, to bring light to the dark places. Our response: John 1:12-13. We are ready to receive our worldly gifts; are we ready to receive God's gift and to believe. We confuse love without speaking the truth; love without truth is sentimentalism, not love.

Good News: Luke 2:10-11 We bring you Good News, not about our lives, but Christ the Lord is born. John 1:12 All who receive Him become children of God. Luke 2:14 He gave us peace, the absence of strife, that passes all understanding. Luke 2:14 Peace on whom His favor rests. If we live His Way, then the problems within our lives are mitigated. Stress, guilt, fear, shame, sin should no longer hold a places in our lives. God loved us, He sent His Son for our pleasing. We need to remember to receive and believe. Good news is that Christ the lord has come to save us, Receive Gods Peace that passes understanding,
