Description

Hosea 11 is the 1 Corinthians 11 of the old testament. In Chapter 11:3 Ephraim is being taught to walk. A reference to Ephraim is not a term of endearment who insisted on worshiping God on their own terms. Ephraim refers to Duet 1:30-33; "I carried you as a man carries his son; teaching your how to walk." If we let God teach us how to walk, He will lead us to good and pleasant places.

In Exodus 15:22-25: He "took them up by their arms", but three days after Israel was delivered from slavery, they were complaining. Exodus 15:25-26 They didn't know that I healed them. First time God stated "it is time to obey." Before this God only provided Israel with promises. But promise always precedes obedience. First God, our father has to teach us to walk the right way.

Our earthly fathers are not as good as our heavenly Father. Our perfect father is found in Hosea 11; God wants to fill in the gaps where our earthly fathers fell short. We may have a brokenness in our soul that can only be replaced by our Good Good God. Romans 5:5- Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
