Yanga has enjoyed an incredible rise into South Africa’s Hip Hop mainstream over the last 12 months. After introducing himself as skilled writer and director to the masses on AKA’s Run Jozi, the Eastern Cape native has gone from strength to strength.
In our sit down interview we discussed how he entered South Africa’s Hip Hop scene. To my surprise I discovered that Yanga has been directing and editing music videos for close to a decade. After teaching himself how to edit and direct Yanga had stints working for Slikour and Studio Space Production before he stepped out on his own to focus on his music before starting Young Legend Films.
