Rom 13:11-14 NKJV And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. (12) The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. (13) Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. (14) But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

The time is getting close
a. You are closer to the Lord’s return or your time on earth ending
b. It is getting close – personally, maybe globally
c. We become aware that our time is getting shorter every day
d. As we age.
e. Message of Ecclesiastes 12 – remember your Creator when you are young!
f. Don’t push off your responsibilities to serve the Lord until you are older.
g. Wake up and serve Him now and be ready for the coming of the Lord Jesus

Three sets of sins we are to put off
a. Revelry & Drunkenness (wild parties NLT)
b. Lewdness & Lust – pleasure esp. sexual sin
c. Strife & Envy

Eph 4:24 NKJV and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
