Are You Saved ?
Sozo – to be made whole
Recused from the penalty of your sins
- which is separation from God in hell
- saved from self destruction from your own lusts
- forgiven and justified – new life
- born again / regenerated by the Spirit
- Saved from coming wrath – the vengeance of God
What is Salvation ?
- Salvation is of God – not through any form of human merit (Isaiah 45:22)
- such as our works of effort to be good
- Salvation is by grace and through faith – ( Ephesians 2:8)
- Salvation is found alone in Jesus Christ – (Acts 4:12) believing upon him to save
- Knowledge / Desire / Surrender & Faith
- You must discover you are lost – sinful, and guilty
- - if not you will perish
- Repentance – acknowledge God’s Word is the truth, change of mind,
causing a change in direction – Luke 13:3 / Luke 5:32
- Cry out for mercy – Call upon the name of the LORD – Luke18:13 , Romans 10:13
