'Make-up' (defined) - face paint; powder; cosmetics; substances applied to enhance or beautify one's facial appearance. Of primary use by women but essential for stage, film or photography. A billion dollar industry which offers concealers, foundation, liners, mascara, etc.

 

Within the backdrop of a letter to Hebrew believers, JESUS' pre-eminence and superiority over the rituals and rules of religion (namely Judaism) were emphasized as JESUS is deferred to as 'all-knowing, all-seeing and ever-present' with the ability to lay all... bare. Uncovered. Revealed with absolutely nothing and no-one hidden from HIM.

 

Tune in for this week's introspective challenge to investigate if we are guilty of applying symbolic 'make-up' to conceal what GOD is already well aware of within our hearts and psyche. Are we attempting to follow, enact or transform into what 'we believe' HE wants us to be (religious) or do we approach HIM 'translucently...' (in relationship) as we are... in Spirit and in truth?
