Tickets - Get Them While They Last
Luke 13:23-24
Ticket (noun) - gives the holder a certain right, especially to enter a place, travel by transport or behold / witness an event. A pass, authorization, permit, token, coupon or voucher required for entry.
One inquired of JESUS how many would be saved and JESUS informed him that the gate for entry would be a narrow one. JESUS also warned him, "many will seek to enter but will not be able to."
This solemn warning extends to us as well and since our entrance into GOD'S presence (forever) has absolutely nothing to do with our abilities and everything to do with JESUS's, we'd be wise to examine the reason given for the majority (numerically) being turned away with the minority (quantitative) gaining entrance.
Our next ticket purchased? Save the stub as a reminder of these spiritual similarities required to gain a secure (safe) entry into eternity...
a) 'The Value of A Ticket...' Is Always Predetermined By The Issuer.
It doesn't matter who or what team we are fans of nor was our opinion consulted when the price required was set. The issuer has predetermined the price for entry and we either accept or deny what becomes non-negotiable for entrance.
b) One Ticket Guarantees (Reserves) One Place or Space.
Attending your favorite team's game? Booking a cruise? It would be wise to have a guarantee (from the source) attached to reserve your space/place. Many counterfeits attempt entry but the source always knows 'authentic' with a special, hidden namesake / watermark engrafted to such.
c) Avoid Counterfeits (Spiritual Scalpers) That Offer Fake Tickets.
Anything. Anyone. Any action. Any group or association. Even religion.
If it minimizes and does not extol JESUS (alone) for entry into GOD'S presence?
Counterfeit. Substitute. Fake.
Avoid @ all costs lest we risk being deceived / persuaded.
