Ever noticed that 'trash' is never meant to remain for long periods of time without being emptied or taken away? It deteriorates. It attracts unwelcome pests. It negatively affects all that remain within proximity of its content as long as 'trash' remains.
Unaddressed or unrepentant sin must be handled no differently if we are to affect people (with Christ) instead of affecting them with... our trash. We must be diligent, persistent and consistent with emptying the soiled contents of this world from our spiritual caches (hearts and minds) daily.
