On the way to perfection, we often forget that there is a ton of practice required prior to the mastery of the goal.
Prior to the perfect game of bowling, golf, etc., plenty of repeated and diligent efforts were a part of the process.
Patient perseverance was mandated.
Our spiritual journey mimics this transformation.
We have not attained perfection but are in the process of being 'perfected.'
Let us learn to array ourselves with the specific Christlike qualities Paul alludes to in encouraging us to bear with each other's shortcomings, understanding that it is simply the 'practice (of love) we must master on our journey of Holy Spirit perfecting us.'
