*NO MORE PL on NCR land*
In 2018, the Sarawak government gave PL to the palm oil plantation company Mega Makmur Plantation Sdn.Bhd to develop palm oil plantations. However, due to the covid pandemic, the project could not continue. But this year the company involved decided to continue the project. Residents of Rumah Labang Nanga Seridan-Tinjar protested and demanded that their 275 hectares of NCR land be removed from the PL given to Mega Makmur. Residents have set up a blockade and it continues to this day. For now the situation is peaceful, there is no provocation and Jok Jau hopes that all the parties who are in conflict can sit at the negotiating table. Jok Jau expressed his admiration for the residents of Rumah Labang who bravely fought for their rights to NCR land. He hopes that this case of invasion can be resolved properly. For now all heavy machinery - Mega Makmur companies are not allowed to continue their activities.
