Why does it take the authorities like the police and the Election Commission nearly two years to find the suggestion of randomisation of ballot papers a 'threat to the democratic process'? Another two members of Tindak Malaysia, the organisation which campaigns for reform of the weaknesses in our electoral system are being hauled up today by Bukit Aman (Police HQ) after its founder PY Wong was harassed last Friday.
Wong tells RFS that the action is politically-motivated especially when the organisation had stopped promoting randomisation since last October to avoid complicating the polling process.
More confusions had surfaced with the polling process what with rumours about postal voting. Election observer Mafrel Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh calls for calm and for the EC to explain.
Voters intimidation has started in Baram, the black seat of BN. PKR Baram chairman Harrison Ngau is furious that community leaders are blatantly abusing their positions and going around with lists of recipients of government aids and warned them against voting for Pakatan Rakyat. Ngau advises the people to photograph and record the illegal acts for further actions after GE13.
The candidate choice of Sri Aman voters who want change is obvious. In response to RFM's expose on the fracture in the BN'c camp in the constituency, PKR Sri Aman information chief Michael Luang says a vote for either the independent Donald Lawan or SWP's Wilfred Landong is effectively a vote for BN.
BN's last minute decision to entice community leaders with allowance increment did not go down well with enlightened headmen. They are tired of BN's manipulation and say 'enough is enough'.
Also, tune in for highlights of election campaign news from other hot seats like Selangau, Kanowit and Baram.
Last but not least, listen to the upbeat note from PKR's sole woman candidate, Cecilia Una who is contesting in Betong.
