Description

Today Radio Free Sarawak examines BN's post-election priority - increasing the salaries of state YBs and ministers.

We ask why, when they talked about 'progress and development' during their election campaign, BN did not explain that they meant money for their own pockets? Surely it was before and not after the election that BN should have exposed their plans to more than triple rewards for YBs from RM4,500 per month to RM15,000? Taib himself has tripled his own salary to RM39,000 per month, more than the Prime Minister Najib Razak!

Even more extraordinary, this rise was back-dated 17 months to the start of 2012 - a windfall of RM306 per minister in fact, costing some RM17million to ordinary tax-payers. Quite a contrast to the RM50 that most voters were bribed at the last election.

PR opposition YBs join the show to tell us why they have placed their own salary rises into a fund to raise rural awareness.
