Description

The first wave of the awakened political tsunami has struck the shore of Sarawak. An estimated 20,000-strong crowd braved the rain and glued to the ground, shoulder-to-shoulder in Miri, as they cheered PR leaders led by Anwar Ibrahim who blasted the ruling regime. The sight must have sent shivers down the spines of BN leaders.

Similarly, Anwar's visit to two other BN black seats - Saratok and Batang Lupar - received overwhelming support from the traditional fortress of BN. Anwar was on a whirlwind tour of Sarawak at the end of the first week of the official campaign period.

NCR is guaranteed under the Federal Constitution but that, however, has not stopped Awang Tengah Abu Hassan and his boss Taib Mahmud from denying the natives of Sarawak their rights.
So, perhaps it's alright to pray that Awang Tengah, the big liar, will be struck by lightning the next time he twist DAP's Malaysian Malaysia slogan again.

Beware of dubious agents that try to turn you into guinea pigs for indelible ink. And warning to those who are trying to dupe voters - PKR's campaigners are on the lookout for you too!

Peter Kallang is convinced that PR should be given the chance to rule as BN had long over-stayed its welcome. The anti-dam activist from Baram dismisses PBB Youth propaganda that the planned Baram dam will provide jobs and bring development to the under-developed region.

Tune in to get more campaign updates directly from PR candidates as they bring you the latest lies, intimidations, dirty tricks of BN in the first week of campaigning; and the groundswell support for change from the Dayak heartland.
