In this episode we talk with Anthony E. Simpkins who is the Managing Deputy Commissioner for the City of Chicago's Housing Bureau's Department of Planning and Development. Anthony also served as a judge on the Cook County (IL) Circuit Court from 2014 to 2016. Anthony talks with us about housing programs, gentrification, and some of the resources available to Chicago homeowners. At the close of the show, Anthony (Judge Simpkins) reflects on his time on the bench, and shares some insights on the importance of knowing who the people are that are running for the elected position of judge.
