In the first half, Kamran Hussain joins in-studio. He's the newly elected president of MCC (Muslim Community Center), one of the Chicago community's foundational mosques. Kamran grew up in the MCC community and has seen it change over the years; he talks about his experience and the need for bringing a younger crowd back to the mosque.
In the second half, Ammiel Mateen joins us in-studio. She is an experienced runner, having participated in marathons and other, even more challenging events. She is also an activist, working with IMAN. We talk about running, health, and how facing physical challenges can benefit us overall.
