Teachers have been turned into the last line of defense when it comes to addressing the ills of society. From teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases to the Opioid Crisis causing havoc across the United States, aside from educating students, Teachers are also asked to look for signs of physical and substance abuse and to offer resources, and to report their observations. Now we're back to talking about arming teachers in the wake of the recent Florida school mass shooting. Are we asking too much of our teachers? How would this effect education?
