RI Host, Tariq El-Amin is joined by Dr. Inshah Malik, Assistant Professor at Kardan University (Kabul, Afghanistan)- Former Fox Fellow at Yale University, and Author of "Muslim Women, Agency and Resistance Politics: The Case of Kashmir." Dr. Malik explains the history of resistance and occupation of Kashmir--going back to 1846, the current state of dehumanization and human rights abuses suffered by Kashimri's at the hands of the Indian Military, and how western narratives of Kashmir often exoticize it, removing its people and history from view.
