Week 2- Manipulation (Isaac & Rebekah)
1) In what ways do you currently manipulate things in your relationship to get your way?
2) Most of us are good at justifying our method of manipulation. After all, is “nagging” or “withholding a little information” really a sin? According to God they are. Use your answers to the first question and see what the Bible has to say about them. Try to find passages that deal with your specific form of manipulation. You may need to use an online source or bible app to help accomplish this. (i.e. Rebekah deceived Isaac to get what she wanted. She then should look up verses on lying and jot them down below.)
3) How do you normally respond when you don’t get your way?
4) How can you avoid using manipulation in your relationship going forward? Be specific.
