Heather Gudenkauf moved to Iowa at age three and has been a Hawkeye ever since. A former third grade teacher in Dubuque, Heather wrote her first novel while still in the classroom. It took three years for THE WEIGHT OF SILENCE to evolve from an idea to a book. Her debut earned a best-first-novel Edgar nomination, a Berry nomination for best original paperback and was a Goodreads choice award nominee for best fiction. That was in 2009. She talks with Terry today about her newest story, her 9th book, OVERNIGHT GUEST.
